Course Details
The aim of this course is to provide a fundamental understanding of how valves work and the functions they carry out, including the important safety factors involved in deciding where and when specific valves may be used.
Each candidate will understand the basic principles of valve operation. Particular focus will be on potential health, safety and environmental hazards directly related to the equipment enabling the candidates to control any associated risks.
This course will provide a good team building session for any group and help build customer / client relations. We also anticipate that further training opportunities may be discovered resulting from the course.

Course Objectives
- List basic valve types
- Visually identify valves by type
- State the various types of media they can be used on, and the advantages of each
- State common defects
- Identify potential problems that may cause loss of production or situations with safety impllications
