Course Details
The aim of this course is to provide a fundamental understanding of where and why torquing happens, a brief insight into end connection types and also bolting and thread arrangement.

Correct torque methods will be looked at and focus will be on the importance of correctly making and breaking the joint, highlighting safety throughout.

Each candidate will appreciate the methods that we use whilst torquing and be aware of potential health, safety and environmental hazards directly related to the equipment enabling the candidates to control any associated risks.

This course will provide a good team building session for any group and help build customer / client relations. We also anticipate that further training opportunities may be discovered resulting from the course.
Course Objectives
  • Identify different end connection types and their basic design function
  • Know what to do in different scenarios (two person ops. etc.)
  • Correctly torque a flanged joint avoiding damage to the flange, sealing element and bolting
  • Carry out a safe disassembly of a flanged connection
  • Identify potential problems that may cause loss of production or situations with safety implementation
