They will be aware of safety hazards and concerns enabling them to control any associated risks.

Course Objectives
- Identify common materials and appreciate their limitations
- Ask manufacturers relevant questions enabling you to compare and evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of available materials
- Specify the optimum material for particular application
- Identify typical failures and suitable resolutions
- Accurately complete relevant documentation ensuring traceability is restored
- Advise client of most suitable selection based on the information you know
- Measure and select the best fit o-ring seal understanding squeeze and fill requirements

- Appreciate the required elements in the drawing / sketching stage
- Successfully install a seal and indentify potential problems
- Remove a seal carefully with suitable tooling to ensure the damage found relates directly to the cause
- Appreciate the design features of the o-rings and indentify their typical applications
- Understand required elements to achieve a successful seal
