Course Details
The aim of this course is to provide a fundamental understanding of the various types of screw threads used in the offshore oil and gas industry.

Each candidate will understand the basic design principles of each thread type and identify where they can be used. Particular focus will be on potential health, safety and environmental hazards directly related to the equipment, enabling the candidates to control any associated risks.

This course will provide a good team building session for any group and help build customer / client relations. We also anticipate that further training opportunities may be discovered resulting from the course.

  • Measure and identify thread types
  • Carry out inspection and identify common defects
  • Appreciate the standards that the equipment conforms to
  • Identify potential problems that may cause loss of production or situations with safety implementations
